Wanda Brothers, MA, MFT

Welcome to my practice. My name is Wanda Brothers and I am passionate about helping people grow and reach their full potential and I believe that with God's help any struggle can be worked through and overcome. I am a licensed marriage & family therapist and have been practicing psychotherapy since 2001.

I work with many people who struggle with depression, debilitating anxiety and unexplained aches and pains. I often work with some of the most spiritually and psychologically painful issues that are not always talked about in church; issues such as domestic violence, damaging relationships, sexual abuse, incest, and rape and their unique and painful outcomes. I have helped many survivors of a variety of types of abuse and trauma to heal and to make peace with their painful pasts. Doing this kind of therapy often includes helping people work through somatization disorders.

I am well equipped to help clients work through trauma and its various and painful outcomes. I have special training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Retraining) and Somatic Experiencing, techniques that assist with helping survivors of trauma to heal and become whole again. My special training includes ways to help clear trauma out of the body as well as from the mind and emotions.

I am always honored to be a part of the painful yet powerful process of a client's personal healing. I welcome to my practice anyone who is motivated and willing to make peace with their struggles. If you have any questions or would just like to talk for a bit to explore how I could be of help to you, please call me at 619-280-3430 x 128.
